Manchester United have announced their team to play against Brighton this afternoon.

The team is :

De Gea

Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Williams

McTominay Fred

James Rashford Martial Pereira

Subs :

Romero, Jones, Rojo, Mata, Lingard, Garner, Greenwood

After resting De Gea, James and Pereira in midweek, all three are back in the team today to face Brighton. Williams’ place in the team comes as Ashley Young has a domestic suspension for accumulated yellow cards after the defeat at Bournemouth in midweek.

In defence, Victor Lindelof has recovered from injury to partner Harry Maguire, which should mean Maguire will move over to the left side of central defence following a shaky showing on Thursday night.

James Garner retains a place on the bench after a cameo appearance in Europe, with McTominay overcoming a knock which saw him come off injured against Partizan. Mason Greenwood, who scored a fine goal the other night, is also back on the substitute’s bench.

United will be aiming to bounce back from that south coast defeat and head into the international break feeling positive.
