The Manchester United team to face Burnley has been announced.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team got back to winning ways against Newcastle following a bumpy run of league form. But events in the game against the Magpies have dictated the selection for the second game in just over 48 hours.

Scott McTominay’s knee ligament injury means he misses out.

Mason Greenwood was fantastic in that game but played the full ninety minutes, so he returns back to the bench while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, who were both given short rests by Solskjaer due to the emphatic nature of the victory, are in from the start.

Elsewhere Solskjaer had major calls to make in defence following another shaky opening on Boxing Day.

Team :

De Gea

Young Lindelof Maguire Williams

Fred Matic

James Pereira Rashford

*Edit. The original post has been modified. We were notified in advance of the team news by the same source who has provided us with advance information in previous games. We provided that information as we deemed it to be reliable as usual, and as we strive to provide our readers with the best news ahead of time. However on this occasion, they named Paul Pogba in the team and this information proved to be incorrect.
