Manchester United have named their team to face Norwich City at Old Trafford this afternoon.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has once more made changes to his side after Tuesday’s humiliating defeat at home against Manchester City.
That League Cup result was one of the most damning of the Solskjaer era and he will be hoping to see a huge improvement against Norwich.
A number of players are still missing from selection. Paul Pogba has had an operation this week as he battles with an ankle injury, whilst Scott McTominay will not be back until mid-February at the earliest.
Perhaps the most controversial issue in recent days has been the condition of Harry Maguire. United’s record signing defender missed Tuesday’s game with a hip injury and, though initial reports said he would miss around two months, Solskjaer confirmed that he has been taking part in training sessions. Supporters are concerned that Maguire – who looked uncomfortable with his injury last weekend – is likely to aggravate his condition.
Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah played for the U23’s last night, while James Garner captained the side, so none of the three feature today.
